Bequests

If you would like to leave a bequest in your Will please consider using the following wording:

1. A General Bequest

"I give to Victorian Women's Housing Association of Level 3, 14 Collins Street, Melbourne, the sum of $... for its general purposes and I declare the receipt of the Secretary, Finance Manager or other proper officer of the Association shall be sufficient discharge to the executor of my estate for this bequest."

2. Bequest of Land/Property

"I give and devise to Victorian Women's Housing Association of Level 3, 14 Collins Street, Melbourne, free of all debts and duties the property situate and known as (Address to be inserted) being the whole of the land more particularly described in Certificate of Title Volume .... Folio ... to be used for its general purposes and I declare the receipt of the Secretary, Finance Manager or other proper officer of the Association shall be sufficient discharge to the executor of my estate for this bequest."

3. Partial Bequest of Land/Property

"I give and devise to Victorian Women's Housing Association of Level 3, 14 Collins Street, Melbourne, free of all debts and cduties the property situate and known as (Address to be inserted) being ... percentage of the land more particularly described in Certificate of Title Volume .... Folio ... to be used for its general purposes and I declare receipt of the Secretary, Finance Manager or other proper officer of the Association shall be a sufficient discharge to the executor of my estate for this bequest."
